Ferencz Bartocci wins the 'Pierfrancesco Betti' Award
Important recognition at Bertram Yachts Derthona: General Manager Ferencz Bartocci has in fact won the Pierfrancesco Betti Award, established by LNP to remember the figure of the manager who died prematurely in December 2017.
The prize is awarded to the finalist managers of the LNP Old Wild West Italian Cup through a vote of the teams participating in the event. Ferencz Bartocci will be awarded in Cervia before the quarter-final between Bertram Derthona and Kleb Basket Ferrara.
“Thank you to my colleagues who gave me the honor of receiving this award – the comment of Ferencz Bartocci, Juventus General Manager – which bears the name of a friend who left us too soon. We last saw Pierfrancesco at the end of August 2017, for a friendly match, and I keep the photo of that occasion with great nostalgia. I want to thank the Derthona Basket company, all the collaborators, the technical staff of the first team, the athletes, the health workers and our world of the youth sector for the daily support: the Award belongs to everyone because we are a team. And I share it with my colleagues at the LNP because only with the strength of the movement, especially in this difficult period, have we managed together with our clubs, working with our heads down, to ensure that our beloved ball continues to fly towards the baskets from all over Italy. Heartfelt thanks to my family and in particular to my father who will be able to toast together with Pier wherever they are".
