Defeat for Bertram Derthona in game 2 of the semi-final, at the end of a balanced match that was decided only after extra time. The Lions pay for their free throw percentages and their opponents' clarity in decisive moments. The series, tied, now moves to Ferentino: game 3 scheduled for Thursday 10 June at 20.00 pm at PalaPonteGrande.

High-paced first quarter at the PalaOltrepò, with the Lions having to suffer the initiatives of the Eurobasket: in the 10th minute the guests were ahead 20-24. In the second half, Derthona remained close in scoring, relying above all on the initiatives of Cannon and Tavernelli, but Eurobasket concluded the first twenty minutes ahead 42-45. Upon returning from the locker rooms, Eurobasket tries to extend the lead, but Bertram resists and grows defensively: this aspect, combined with greater offensive fluidity, leads to the overtaking (58-57 at 30') signed by a basket by D'Ercole. In the last period the Lions maintained the advantage without however managing to make the decisive push in the match and Eurobasket scored at 71 with Olasewere 19 seconds from the end. Sanders' winning shot, at the end, doesn't hit: it's overtime. In the opening stages of extra time Roma lead, before the overtaking sealed by Tavernelli's triple (76-75 in the 42nd minute). In the following minutes Eurobasket finds good solutions and condemns Bertram to defeat. Finishes 80-85.
