The point on the White Group at the end of the first leg

The Serie A2 Old Wild West championship enters its decisive phase: three more games and then it will be playoff time. With yesterday's success for Udine over Scafati, the first matches of the White Group concluded in which Bertram Derthona managed to achieve two successes in three matches.

Naples, Forlì and Udine also had the same list, with only one success for Turin, none for Scafati. With these results, the current number 1 seed is the team coached by Pino Sacripanti (10 pt), but behind him Forlì, Tortona and Torino – in strict ranking order – are chasing at a distance of two points and are ready to take advantage of any missteps. Followed by Udine (6 pts) and Scafati (2 pts).

“These two victories against Scafati and Napoli are very important, they gave us morale, given that we hadn't finished the regular season in the best way possible. – explained Bertram point guard Bruno Mascolo –. Playing matches like this, putting in excellent performances, makes us understand that if we stay on track and manage to play as we know how, we can be very annoying for everyone. Against Napoli we had a very good impact on the match, from a mental point of view we were solid. This makes me very happy and confident for the future."

Scafati and Napoli, away, interspersed with the home match against Forlì, will determine the final position of the Lions in the playoff grid. Playoffs which will start, as announced by LNP and the FIP Competitive Sector, on the weekend of 22 and 23 May. Three rounds of best of five matches for the two eight-team brackets that will be composed at the end of the clock. The number 1 seed remains the right to choose which day to start the decisive phase of the tournament; consequently, the other teams position themselves according to the grid they belong to.
