Derthona Basket and schools: the 'Team sport, new technologies and match analysis' project
Attention to the territory and young people is the basis of the activity of Derthona Basket, which developed the project 'Team sports, new technologies and match analysis' with the 3AE class of the IT High School of'Guglielmo Marconi' Institute of Higher Education of Tortona. All this was made possible by the important collaboration provided by Prof. Guido Rosso, head teacher of the institute and from Professor Chiara Parente, literature teacher of the class.
The project, born on the initiative of the Club's technical staff, involved the students in a series of theoretical and practical meetings both at the PalaCamagna and at the school. In the first, which took place on March 22nd at the arena during a team training session, the boys and girls answered a questionnaire relating to their level of knowledge on the use of technology in the world of sport and questions on basketball and physical preparation in basketball.
Subsequently, a representative of the technical staff went to school to illustrate to the children the importance of technology in industry 5.0, the tools used by Bertram Derthona in its daily activity and the objectives set with the use of IT tools. After the theoretical meeting, it was time for the "practical" laboratory in which the students tried their hand at editing a video of "highlights" using the technological tools made available to them and following the instructions provided by the Juventus staff.
Today, Wednesday June 8, a delegation from the company went to the 'G. Institute. Marconi' to reward the two students who distinguished themselves most in the practical laboratory. The winning boys received a commemorative plaque from Riccardo Cattapan, player of the first team and will have the opportunity to carry out an internship at the graphic and technical office of Derthona Basket.
With 'Team sports, new technologies and match analysis'therefore, the link between the Club and local schools is further strengthened, as they are increasingly involved in the initiatives promoted by the company.
