Fourth consecutive success for Bertram Derthona, who - without Harper and Macura - showed off a solid performance against Pallacanestro Trieste, taking command of the pace and score from the first quarter. In the following fractions, the Bianconeri, scoring with nine different players, extended their lead and resisted every opponent's attempt at a comeback.

Fluid start to the match in attack for Bertram Derthona, who made 5 assisted baskets in the half and shot almost with 70% from two points: Candi's basket almost at the end makes it 25-16 and seals ten very good minutes for the Lions. The start of the second quarter follows the same trend as the first 10 minutes: the Juventus push reaches +13 (40-27), before the visitors' reaction. Keeping the distance unchanged (+9, 50-41) at halftime were the baskets of a sumptuous Candi (author of 14 points in the period).

Upon returning from the locker room, Christon, Filloy and Daum update the maximum gap (+15, 60-45, at 24') forcing coach Legovich to stop the match. Trieste tries to close the gap, but Derthona maintains its clarity and extends to 68-52 in the 30th minute, signed by a dunk by Filoni on the counterattack. In the last quarter, Bertram resists every opponent's comeback attempt and wins 80-69, getting as close as possible to the quarter-final of the Frecciarossa Final Eight 2023, scheduled for Thursday 16 February at 20.45pm at the Pala Alpitour in Turin.

Thus coach Marco Ramondino at the end of the race: “From an emotional point of view we are very happy with this victory because we deserved it by playing well, being consistent and having a good contribution from everyone. We benefited from today's setup, thanks to the players' ability to adapt and orient themselves on the pitch to cover up any mistakes. We have faith in recovering some players for the Italian Cup, but we have to worry about taking to the pitch in a certain way regardless of the context and importance of the match.".
