Coach Marco Ramondino appointed Assistant Coach of the Under 20 Men's National Team

Bertram Derthona congratulates coach Marco Ramondino who has been called as Assistant Coach of the Under 20 Men's National Team for the 2018/19 sports season. This is an important recognition that rewards the work of a coach who has been part of the technical staff of the youth national teams for years: Ramondino has in fact taken part in five editions of the European Championships as assistant coach and led the Italian Under 16 expedition to the EYOF (European Youth Olympic Festival) of 2015, held in Tbilisi, Georgia.

In particular, the Juventus head coach was Antonio Bocchino's assistant, together with Gianluca Tucci, at EuroBasket Under 18 2010, a tournament that Italy finished in twelfth place. The following year he took part in the Under 16 European Championships, as assistant - with Stefano Comazzi - to Antonio Bocchino himself in the competition which the national team finished in tenth place. Ramondino was then Andrea Capobianco's assistant in 2012 and 2013: on both occasions with the National Under 18 team involved in the European Championships.

In 2015 he was awarded the position of head coach of the Under 16s at the EYOF. In 2017 he was then assistant coach to Massimo Galli at the Rome rally and at the Zaragoza Tournament that the National Under 19 team played in preparation for the Egyptian World Cup which ended in second place behind Canada by the team then led by Andrea Capobianco in the world championship.

Now for him a new prestigious role, which has arrived in the name of the continuity of results that he has been able to achieve in recent years at the helm of the clubs and of his work carried out over time with the national youth teams.
