A look at the future: the meeting of Marco Picchi and Ferencz Bartocci with the students of the Liceo Sportivo Paritario of Voghera
Attention to the territory and young people are the basis of the activity of Derthona Basket, which today, Friday 18 November, met 60 students from the Liceo Sportivo Paritario of Voghera with a delegation led by the President Marco Picchi and the CEO Ferencz Bartocci.
Today's meeting, in the presence of Stefania Fecchio (Director of CFP Santachiara Voghera-Stradella-Broni), Cristina Montagnoli (Director of the Santachiara Tortona Serravalle Training Agency), Susanna Morini (Principal of Private High School) e Paolo Barbieri (Teacher of Sports Sciences at the Sports High School) as well as some teachers of the school and of the CFP courses and of the Deputy Mayor and Councilor Simona Virgilio, which brought greetings from the Municipality, opened with a brief description of the activity and history of the Santachiara Institute from its foundation to today, followed by the reading of the letter that the boys wrote for the occasion for Derthona Basket and the speeches of the President and CEO of the Club.
Picchi told his story at Derthona Basket, from a player to becoming President, while Bartocci focused on the various possible jobs in the world of sport, speaking firsthand about his personal experiences.
The meeting ended with questions from the students and with the delivery of some typical Lombard products as a gift by the children and of a basketball signed by the players of the first team for the high school by the Company.
It was a new opportunity to strengthen the bond between Voghera and Derthona Basket, and between the two cities, sending the message that sport is a training ground for everyone.
