The technical partnership between BEA Chieri and Derthona Basketball Lab is officially born

The technical partnership between BEA Chieri and Derthona Basketball Lab is officially born

The partnership created between Derthona Basketball Lab e BEA Chieri is focused on Youth sector and will allow us to raise the bar for the growth of local athletes and beyond and share quality sports and strategic planning actions.

BEA Chieri he will be the sole contact person for the Juventus club, the only Piedmontese representative in the top national championship, for the entire Turin Macro Area and will take care of scouting and monitoring activities for athletes of interest. The selected profiles will have the opportunity to grow between the Leopardi Youth Sector and that of the Derthona Basketball Lab, following a development path shared between the clubs' staff.

The sporting agreement gives shape and concreteness to the friendship that the two clubs have cultivated for some time and is also and above all based on the sharing of the know-how of the technical staff and not of the two clubs, from all points of view and for each category.

STATEMENTS

Salvatore Morena, General Manager BEA Chieri
"The collaboration with a reality like that of Derthona will certainly be an important stage in the growth path of the BEA Leopardi project. This combination will allow us to give even more depth to the sports and training offer dedicated to
our boys. We immediately understood each other with the representatives of Derhona Basketball Lab. The basis of the relationship is based on the respect that such an important reality has and continues to show towards our organization and our work. Fair exchange virtuously enriches our planning autonomy, anticipates and supports our growth. Quality, first of all, identifies and unites our missions and our DNA. It is the beginning of a new chapter that will definitively project us into the national level of Italian basketball. We're excited to start putting the ideas into action".

Stefano Piccionne, Sports Director BEA Chieri
"The agreement with Tortona pushes us, our athletes and our staff to raise the bar. We want to try to be increasingly competitive in all our championships, with all our teams and I am sure that, also thanks to this relationship, we will succeed. We have the ambition that our players can be protagonists at any level and that together with Tortona we can build a Chieri youth sector of national level. We aim to grow in all aspects of the technical and sporting management of a club. Tortona's availability, the fact of recognizing BEA as a company that wants to work and improve, flatters us and will encourage us even more to achieve ever better results. I think it's an excellent agreement that came at the right time: we are ready".

Claudio Coffano, President Derthona Basketball Lab
"The consolidation of the Derthona Basketball Lab also passes through these strategic agreements with historic clubs in the Piedmont area and also in Liguria. We give credit to our responsible manager Andrea Ablatico for his action of coordinating the territory, with the aim of being more competitive at the level of youth teams, continuing and indeed improving what has already been done this year, somewhat in the wake of what he is doing in Serie A, our parent company Bertram Yachts Tortona, our teams are doing for the first time in the history of the club, from participating and with very satisfactory results in Legabasket's Next Gen Cup U19 to the very fresh qualification for the U17 Eccellenza National Finals. The agreement with BEA Chieri allows us to broaden our range of vision, putting potential prospects from the Turin area in our sights who can be an important addition for our U17 and U19 teams, perhaps with aspirations of also playing for Serie A".

Andrea Ablatico, Technical Director Derthona Basketball Lab

"Let it be clear that "we are" here in Chieri to stay. The basis of the agreement was born even before the pandemic and we have always remained in contact over these years. Our interest in a company like BEA has been important from the beginning, we recognized a development plan in the Chieri company in which we would have liked to be involved. Usually in this type of collaboration one takes and one gives, but my intention is to carry forward the two realities in communion, on the same level. The objective is to work on the young people of both associations, bring them together and make them progress. If my U17 team were to lose tomorrow against BEA's U17 team I wouldn't be desperate as it always happens when I lose, but it would be the sign of a process that proceeds at the same speed. I have read some nonsense on the internet in recent hours, we are not coming to colonize Turin, we only have the pleasure of establishing a collaborative relationship with a club that has nothing to envy of all the other Piedmontese realities. A shared path that I hope will continue for many years, which is based on structures but also on people: and with people like Morena and Piccionne and our technical manager Ansaloni we all have a very specific process in mind to carry forward".

Luca Ansaloni, Technical Manager of the Derthona Basket Youth Sector
"On a technical level it will be a bilateral relationship. Thanks to BEA Chieri we will be able to have an eye on the Turin area, it is a company that I have learned to know in recent months but Andrea Ablatico and also Diego Manassero had already established a good relationship with it for some time. This year too they have competitive teams, up to a certain age range they have interesting prospects and we also have this mission, as the only Piedmontese Serie A team, to be a point of reference for the region: this must make us broaden our a look at Turin and Chieri offers this window onto the Turin area. If there is potential within the Chieri teams we will try to take them forward and, being a bilateral relationship, there will be maximum availability on our part to collaborate to give guidelines for technical training that can be followed by the youth teams of Chieri and his coaches".
