The U17 Eccellenza team qualifies with one round to spare for the play-off for the National Finals
Officially qualified for the National Finals Play-Off with 40 minutes to go before the end of the interregional phase. Last Saturday's blitz away to Pall. Trieste and last night's home defeat by direct rival Nutribullet Treviso against Orange1 Bassano mathematically secure the Allianz Derthona U17 Eccellenza team a top-three spot in Interregional Group F.
The final match next Thursday at home against Treviso , scheduled for 17 p.m. at the PalaCamagna, will serve to determine whether they can climb from their current third place to second place. This, however, would only be possible with a victory over the Venetians and a defeat for Pall. Cantù in their home match two days later against bottom club Trieste.
If they finish in second place, coach Enrico Rocco's Bianconeri will face the third-place team in Group B (still to be determined between Pall. Reggiana, Victoria Libertas Pesaro, and Don Bosco Livorno) in the one-off playoff on May 12th at a neutral venue. If they finish in third place, they will face the second-place team in Group H (still to be determined between College Basketball Borgomanero, Pall. Varese, and OneTeam Basket Forlì).
