TORTONA. Marco Spissu third best under 22 in A2. The National Basketball League has announced the names of the winners of the 2015/2016 LNP Trophies, awards established to reward the coach and players who stood out the most thanks to their performances during the Serie A2 Citroën regular season. Starting from this year, the protagonists themselves have decreed the best performers of the season: the presidents, coaches and captains of the 32 A2 teams have determined the winners in the following categories.

BEST UNDER 22. The recognition, reserved for Italian players born in 1994 and after, was won by Leonardo Candi (Eternedile Bologna). The young point guard born in 1997 from Fortitudo, with a regular season of 7.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2 assists in 21 minutes on average, preceded Davide Moretti (De' Longhi Treviso) and Marco Spissu.

BEST ITALIAN. The winner of the award was Matteo Fantinelli (De' Longhi Treviso), with a regular season of 10.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game. The 1993 playmaker from Treviso, who led his team to first place in the East group, preceded Marco Portannese (Givova Scafati) and Andrea Renzi (Lighthouse Conad Trapani).

BEST FOREIGN. Success for Bryon Allen (Mec-Energy Roseto), top scorer in the East group of A2 Citroën with 23.2 points per game, to which he added 4.5 rebounds and 3 assists. The US guard from Roseto, already proclaimed MVP of the Citroën All Star Game 2016 in Livorno, surpassed Marc Trasolini (BCC Agropoli). Third place for Josh Mayo (Givova Scafati).

BEST COACH. The victory went to Eugenio Dalmasson (Alma-Agenzia per il Lavoro Trieste), capable of leading the Giulians to the playoffs for the second consecutive year, enhancing the many young people present on the roster. Behind Dalmasson Stefano Pillastrini (De' Longhi Treviso) and Antonio Paternoster (BCC Agropoli).

The awards relating to Serie A2 Citroën will be awarded during the 2016 playoff finals.
