Back to Voghera, off to Race 5! The Lions played a solid game for all forty minutes, reacting to Ravenna's start and progressively widening their gap in the first three halves. In the last quarter they resist Ravenna's return and get the equalizer that will lead the teams to victory. The hosts fell at home after more than three months (last defeat on 11 February against Chieti), demonstrating the excellent match played by Derthona.
Four Juventus players scored in double figures: Tavernelli (20 points), Cannon and Sanders (16 points each) and Fabi (12 points).
Complex start for Bertram, who suffered a sprint start from the hosts, immediately ahead 16-8 after just 5'. The Lions' reaction was not long in coming, with a brilliant 0-9 coming out of the time-out requested by coach Ramondino: Sanders' triple at the end of the first period gave them the advantage (16-17).
In the second half Tortona – led by captain Tavernelli (15 points in the period) – gives an important boost to the match, even reaching +15 (22-37): the hosts then shorten the distances before the new Juventus acceleration which is worth the 30-41 of the 20'.
In the third quarter, Bertram resisted Ravenna's defensive pressure and continued to build good solutions in attack, reaching the 20-point margin several times and finishing ahead 49-67 in the 30th minute. In the last half the Bianconeri suffered a reaction from Ravenna, who closed their gap to 10 points, but Cannon and Sanders sealed the victory, which arrived with a score of 66-76. On Tuesday 1 June at 20.45pm at PalaOltrepò there will be game 5, which qualifies for access to the semi-final against Eurobasket Roma.
