Demis Cavina leaves Derthona: his farewell to the Juventus people
Coach Demis Cavina leaves Derthona at the end of three extraordinary years. This is his thought for the Juventus people:
It is not easy to describe the emotions I am feeling in these hours, nor even simple to condense the memories of the last three fantastic years into a few lines. It would even be impossible for me to think of this as a goodbye; so, starting from the end, we say goodbye as we have done many times when we passed each other under the arcades. A simple "hello", rest assured that we will see each other again soon. Sport, like life, often presents us with difficult choices, which sometimes go beyond purely professional motivations. But sport has always given me the opportunity to get to know the reality of Derthona basketball, the city of Tortona and cement many friendships in these three years that my family and I will keep like precious stones. I would like to individually thank all those who have actively participated in achieving the results of these years but the list would be too long so, to all of you, I simply say THANK YOU. The same thanks that I specifically give to the fans, to the club, to the staff, to the players because from this experience I have improved as a person and as a coach.
Turning the page doesn't mean closing a book: now it's time to start again and I can only wish you the best.
