Davide Reati leaves Derthona: the words of GM Marco Picchi
Orsi Derthona Basket announces that it has implemented the procedures aimed at consensually terminating the contract in force until 30 June 2017 with the athlete Davide Reati.
The Company agreed to the player's request, thanking him for his commitment and the results achieved together in this two-year sporting period. At the same time, he wishes Davide all the best for his professional future.
General manager Marco Picchi spoke at derthonabasket.it: “It is never nice to say goodbye to a player who leaves and who has done well with our shirt, but the Club comes first and our will remains firm in wanting only players who are happy to be part of the Derthona Basket world. We are aware that it will not be easy to replace Reati, but the market is always in movement and we want to be ready to seize the first useful opportunity to strengthen the roster.
At the same time, the GM also wanted to address other current issues. “I realize that it's not an easy moment, because losing a derby at the last shot hurts everyone. But above all, the distance from "our" PalaOltrepò is starting to weigh on us and I realize that we are asking our fans for a truly remarkable effort. However, I am equally convinced that in difficulties all the love that the team, club and fans have for this shirt emerges. Only together can we get out of this difficult moment and return to Voghera ready for a great championship finale."
