Bertram Derthona announces the hiring of Lorenzo Gergati
Bertram Derthona announces the hiring of Lorenzo Gergati, a 1,88cm playmaker-guard from the Mantova Stings, with whose shirt he played against Derthona in the playoffs last May. Born in Varese in 1984 and raised professionally in the Varese Basketball academy, he made his professional debut in Nuova Pallacanestro Vigevano in 2002 in Serie B. After two years in Biella, in the 2006-07 season he played in Pavia, in Serie A2. In 2008 he returned to Varese where, in a backcourt also made up of Randy Childress and Marco Passera, he contributed to the Lombard club's promotion to Serie A. He subsequently moved to Brescia, before returning under the guidance of Stefano Pillastrini to Turin: in the yellow and blue jersey he won promotion to Serie A2, and then moved, in the summer of 2015, to the Pallacanestro Mantovana jersey, becoming the captain twelve months later.
