Good impressions for Bertram Derthona in the first friendly match of the season: coach Pansa's team, facing Valsesia Basket, a team that will play the next Serie B championship, showed positive signs in both halves of the pitch. After a balanced start, the Bianconeri progressively increased their lead already in the first quarter, then significantly extended it in the second half thanks to great defensive pressure - which also led to a 13-0 run - which allowed Bertram to go to halftime with an excellent margin (57-25). The third quarter saw balance between the two teams: Derthona found a reference in Garri near the basket, while Valsesia relied on Cernivani's initiatives to stay in contact in the partial (won by coach Pansa's team 17-14) . Even in the last period, coach Bolignano's team played on par with the Bianconeri: Bertram's first test of the season ended with an 88-54 victory.
So coach Pansa: ˝We took to the pitch with great pleasure playing together and with intensity in the first part of the match, finding good shots and having a very good defensive impact. In the second part, as was natural, we were less precise in our game executions and, consequently, the percentages also dropped. We return home with a check of the initial work period, with the awareness that the first mechanisms are starting to be assimilated and with a series of indications on the details to be sorted out in the next period˝.
