The stop light comes on for the Serie B Interregionale of Gulliver Supermercati Derthona Tortona in the 1st and penultimate day of the first leg of the Division A Conference North-West.
In Corneliano d'Alba, bottom-place Novipiù Campus Piemonte continues to lead the way against the third-place team. With just over two minutes remaining, the Tortona Bianconeri mount a comeback with two three-pointers from Nicholas Errica and a 2-1 from Lorenzo Baldi to tie the score at 62. They even had a chance to overtake, but Andrija Josovic's 0-for-2 free throws prevented it. In the final sprint, the home team closed out the game with a 6-2 run after Baldi suffered an injury. The Lions' defeat was also due to a poor night in free throws, with 16 of 30.
Errica top scorer with 18 points, Josovic (in the photo by Cristiana Castano) again with a double double of 16 points and 14 rebounds for a 25 rating is not enough.
After four straight wins, and ten straight when including the U19 Eccellenza youth championship and Legabasket's Next Gen Cup, Luca Ansaloni's boys suffered their fourth defeat in the senior tournament, bringing their season record to 6-4, while the home team celebrated their exit with 0 points. Still holding onto third place in the standings due to Campus Varese's loss at Robur Basket Saronno , Gulliver will next face the Lombardy league leaders at 8:30 PM at the PalaCamagna on Saturday, December 2nd, for the final round of the first leg.
