Towards VL Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro-Bertram Derthona: the words of coach Ramondino
The regular season of Bertram Derthona comes to an end and tomorrow - Sunday 7 May at 18pm - they will be on stage at the Vitrifrigo Arena to face the VL Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro on the 30th day of the 2022/23 Unipolsai Serie A championship.
The Bianconeri are fresh from the defeat against EA7 Emporio Armani Milano and are in third place in the standings with one match left in the regular season. “The match against Milan - begins coach Marco Ramondino - he gave us many good indications and we want to continue along these lines even in an away match, providing a performance of quality and character. Finishing in third place would be an important result for us and for the Club. We face Pesaro, a team known for its tradition, for the warmth of its people and for the involvement around the team: we expect to find an environment full of enthusiasm because They have a chance to qualify for the playoffs.".
On the characteristics of the next opponents, Bertram's head coach then added: “Pesaro has an excellent ability to look for and exploit advantages already in the first part of the action, it is a team that plays transition situations very well and builds three-point shots in the first seconds. VL is very good at attacking at the beginning of possession, they have many players among the wingers capable of creating in 1vs1 and others skilled in playing in the low post, such as Delfino, Charampopoulos, Cheatam, Kravic and Austin Daye both front and back to the basket. In defense they have players who are aggressive, forcing the opposing attack to play very far from the area: it will therefore be necessary to move the ball around their defense so as not to only have perimeter play".
“We will have to pay great attention to the defensive transition – concludes coach Ramondino – and be ready right from the end of the offensive action. Against their wingers a great effort will be necessary, while in the back-to-basket game it will be necessary to raise the level of physicality and readiness against both their guards and their big men.".
Bertram Derthona communicates that, with the exception of Demonte Harper, all the athletes are available to coach Ramondino for tomorrow's match.
