Two years later, in 2014, again with Arioli on the bench, the Club achieved promotion to A2 Silver. But first, in the Final Four in Rimini, reached thanks to the victory against Orzinuovi in the quarter-finals (in a two-way match with the sum of scores), the then Orsi Derthona lost 91-66 in the semi-final against Latina, one of the most equipped in the category.

After a few years of absence, Derthona - this time by Bertram - qualified at the last minute for the Final Eight of A2 in Jesi in 2018. Lorenzo Pansa is the head coach of a team that amazes and dominates the competition, first beating Trieste, then promoted to Serie A, 91-66 in the quarterfinals, then Biella 95-
79 in the semifinals. In the final, the Lions find Ravenna, but the level of confidence is such that right from the start it is clear that it is a magical evening. The final, 89-57, certifies the Lions' state of grace in those three days and brings the first trophy in history to the Club's showcase.

2021 is another unforgettable year for the Club, culminating in promotion to Serie A at the end of the final against Torino. In the Italian Cup, in Cervia, the team coached by Marco Ramondino gives a taste of its potential, first beating Ferrara 70-58 in the quarterfinals and then surrendering to Napoli - the other promoted to the top flight - 92-89 in the semi-final, playing point point against a real battleship and losing only after extra time.

The last participation in an Italian Cup is very recent history: last year in Pesaro Bertram imposes its pace against Trieste in the quarterfinals, winning 94-82. With the same attitude and great confidence, he eliminated Italian champions Virtus Segafredo Bologna in the semi-final (94-82) and won the final against Milan, which they lost 78-61.

Now tomorrow the Pala Alpitour in Turin will see the Lions on stage again. As protagonists, with their own identity and the ambition to still be protagonists at the highest level.
