BKT EuroCup final schedule: debut in Riga on September 29, first match at Nova Arena on October 7 at 7:30 PM
Baglietto Derthona Tortona's first ever BKT EuroCup match will be on Tuesday, September 29th at 6:00 PM Italian time, with a trip to Latvia to play against Riga Zelli. Their home debut will be on Wednesday, October 7th at 7:30 PM at the Nova Arena against the French team from Le Mans.
The official dates and times of the regular season schedule were released today by Euroleague Basketball for the European competition, which this year will see the black and white team take part for the first time, placed in Group A.
A HISTORICAL FIRST The Lions' debut in Riga will be particularly significant, as it will be the match that—concurrent with Neptunas Klaipeda vs. Dolomiti Energia Trento—will open the EuroCup season, between two absolute debutants in the tournament. The following week, they will have their first home game at the Nova Arena against Le Mans, on Wednesday at 7:30 PM, a day and time that will be the same for all seven home games for the team coached by Mario Fioretti. The only exception is the matchday ten match against Aris Thessaloniki, scheduled for Tuesday, December 15th, but also at 7:30 PM.
The regular season will conclude on Wednesday, January 13th at 8:00 PM on the Hapoel Jerusalem hardwood.
Playoff Dates The top four teams from each of the four groups will advance to the playoffs, all best-of-three, with home-field advantage favoring the top-seeded teams in the regular season. The round of 16 matches are scheduled for February 2-12, the quarterfinals for March 9-19, the semifinals for March 31-April 9, while the EuroCup Finals will be played on April 21-27, respectively, and—if Game 3 is necessary—on Friday, April 30.
