Gulliver Supermercati Derthona's adventure in the Play-In Silver of the Interregional Series B began with a defeat . In Arezzo, the black and white team lost 82-67 to the home team Amen BC Servizi on the first day of the second phase , which features the teams ranked fifth to eighth in the Northwest Conference Division A facing the teams that also finished fifth to eighth in Division B. Derthona, starting from the top of the standings with eight points from the qualifying phase where they finished in fifth place, had to surrender to the Tuscans, who were last with two points and coming off eighth place in their group.
Added to those of Tandia and Errica the further heavy absence of Andrija Josovic, loaned to EA7 Emporio Armani Milano for the Belgrade stage of the U18 Euroleague, in fact the Arezzo team always led matches with the lead. Also dragged by the former Dimitrije Jankovic and despite the efforts of Luca Ansaloni's boys to never let her escape decisively, especially with Stefano Conte's triples (in the archive photo), at the end of the third period Arezzo flies away after two bombs from Ianniccelli and Zocca for +13 in the last mini-break, never worried again in the final period.
For Gulliver, it is worth noting the debut of Tomas Fernandez Lang , the recent South American U17 champion with his Argentina team. The 2006- born winger played for 18 minutes after arriving on loan this week following the first part of the season spent at Virtus Arechi Salerno, with whom he played in the National Serie B and U19 Eccellenza.
Once the first round is over, Derthona slips to third place in the rankings, 2 points behind the leaders Dany Quarrata and Basketball Club Lucca, in the 8-team group which grants access to the promotion playoffs to the top two classified at the end of the 10 days expected.
On Sunday 10 March, the home debut in the Play-In Silver sees the arrival at the PalaCamagna in Tortona of Spezia Basket Club , winners in their debut 98-84 at home against Campus Varese: tip-off at 8.30pm.
