Coach Talpo's team won the Piedmont derby against GranTorino by a score of 99-74, after a game played with solidity and great intensity on both ends of the court. On the PalaLuiss hardwood, the Bianconeri took control from the tip-off, building a significant lead in the first quarter thanks to aggressive defense and a fluid, effective offense.
GranTorino tries to stay in their wake, but Derthona maintains control of the pace, gradually widening the gap until reaching a maximum advantage of 36 points, without ever giving the impression of losing control of the match.
Cantù's victory over Milan was also crucial for the standings, allowing Derthona to finish Group D in first place and secure a direct pass to the quarterfinals.
In today's success, Oumar Coulibaly's double double stands out with 14 points and 13 rebounds, but without diminishing the two top scorers for Juventus, Bottelli with 19 points (2/2 from two, 4/6 from three, 3/3 from free throws) 5 assists and Josovic with 22 points (8/15 from two, 3/6 from free throws) 5 assists and 8 rebounds.
The next match will see the Bianconeri back on the pitch on Friday at 18 pm at the PalaTiziano, where they will face the winner of the match between Trento and Fidenza.
