Baldi is also the author of the triple that gives one of the two teams the only double-digit advantage of the match (54-44 at 26th), a margin that Milan quickly mends thanks to Garavaglia, creator of the triple that tied the game at 60 , a condition that remains unchanged until exactly 5' from the end at 65. There, Tortona makes the move with Van Der Knaap for 71-66 which becomes the score from which the "target score" starts after a foul by the defense Tortonese with 3'57” to go. At 75 all, following a block by Garavaglia on Conte with the ball ending beyond the baseline, the throw-in is awarded to Milan amidst the vibrant protests of Tortona, on the reversal in front Ferrari wins a foul and converts it into two free throws (75-77), Baldi only half imitates him for Tortona (76-77) and on the opposite front Lonati explodes the Milan party.
