Derthona-Legnano pre-match with Cavina and Garri
Tomorrow at 17,30 pm at the PalaFerraris in Casale Monferrato, Derthona Basket's first official match of the season against Europromotion Legnano. These are the words of coach Demis Cavina and captain Luca Garri.
“The pre-season full of friendly matches served to improve the cohesion on and off the pitch of a practically new group. The boys' willingness to sacrifice has facilitated a process of amalgamation which, despite the ups and downs of the period and some aches and pains, today finds itself exactly at the point where we had planned at the beginning - says coach Cavina - We face a team that has maintained eight tenths of last season's roster, so in addition to the obstacle of the "first season", we will probably also have the one represented by the opponent most ready for the debut of the whole lot of our opponents. I can still hear in my ears the din of the Casale stadium in the last playoffs and I trust that our fans, who will be asked to make yet another sacrifice linked to playing the matches away from Voghera, will create the same environment as last season and will be able to push us towards another great result.”
“I'm happy to be able to start taking things seriously again after a long break. We want to do well and for this reason we will have to be concentrated and precise, having to deal with both the uncertainties and unknowns of the first championship match, and with the compactness and cohesion of Legnano – adds Garri – The absence of Davide Reati is heavy , but it will give us further motivation and push us to take, individually, an extra step which could prove decisive for the whole team.”
