Bertram Derthona returns to Palaoltrepo' in Voghera. Tomorrow, at 20.30 pm, the Lions will take to the arena in the midweek round against Virtus Roma for the twentieth matchday of the championship.
Coach Lorenzo Pansa wanted to focus on the opponents: “Roma is a completely different team from the first round. The technical leadership has changed, they introduce two new players on the field and, in the last match, they demonstrated that they are growing greatly. They can count on one of the most talented sets of wingers in our group and a forward department that guarantees double danger inside the area and outside the three-point arc. We will have to be good at defining and maintaining the pace and initiative of the match so as not to expose ourselves to their offensive danger."
The Juventus coach then wanted to focus on the Virtus roster:
“Baldasso, Chessa and Parente represent three of the wingers with the most talent and points in our group, while Thomas is extremely dangerous due to his ability to play in the open field and his enormous athleticism in one-on-one plays. Roberts knows how to be a determining factor inside the area, on both sides of the pitch, while Landi and Maresca offer solidity and danger, especially outside the three-point arc. This is a team that loves to play high-tempo basketball in the open court, using runs to steal baskets on the break and shoot three-pointers in transition.
We will have to maintain control of the pace and play with great hardness and desire to be able to limit their enormous talent."
