Good first match for the Juventus juniors in the prologue of the challenging Eccellenza championship.
On the difficult Collegno pitch our boys fought on equal terms for the first twenty minutes. In the third quarter things get complicated and they go down by as much as 12 points, but in the final there is a great recovery from Apuzzo & co who manage to bring home the victory. In the next round, debut at PalaCamagna on Thursday evening with the long-awaited derby with Junior Casale. It's just the beginning of the "tour de force" to which coach Talpo's boys are called, many of whom are also involved in the Serie C Gold championship with the Il Canestro di Alessandria shirt, which will start next Saturday.

The adventure of coach De Ros's Juventus cadets in the Eccellenza tournament starts next Saturday, with the treacherous away match in Turin at Auxilium. The championship includes a single Piedmont-Ligurian group of 14 teams. In addition to Derthona there will be: Cuneo, Ivrea, Saluzzo, CUS Genova, Moncalieri, Auxilium Turin, Lavagna, Vado, Collegno, Crocetta Turin, Borgomanero, Biella and Casale.

UNDER 15 EXCELLENCE
Fresh from the Genoa Pegli Tournament - 6th Tossini Trophy, where De Ros' students were able to test the level of a competition of Excellence, Viale and his teammates will make their championship debut next Sunday in Oleggio. Derthona was included in the first (A) of the two groups of 7 teams foreseen at an inter-regional level together, in addition to Oleggio, Moncalieri, Pegli, Borgomanero, Biella and Casale. The predictions see Vado (5th nationally last year) and Borgomanero as favourites.
