The partnership between three local sporting excellences – Derthona Basket, BC Castelnuovo Scrivia (from this year BCC Derthona Basket) and Azalai – has led in the last two years to the creation of an edition of the Tortona Just The Woman I Am.
The 5 km walking race was born in 2014 from the partnership between CUS Turin and the University and Polytechnic of the Piedmontese capital with the aim of raising funds for university research against cancer. JTWIA, with a series of collateral initiatives, also promotes prevention, inclusion, gender equality and correct lifestyles.
The event takes place in the streets of Turin on the first Sunday of March; in recent years the 'Virtual' mode has also been developed, which allows all those who wish to travel the planned 5 km to do so in the place and time they prefer.
Derthona Basket, Castelnuovo and Azalai have joined, forming Team Derthona, which has traveled the streets of Tortona in the last two years. The event was possible, on both occasions, thanks to the precious collaboration of the Municipality of Tortona.
