Autosped G BCC Derthona Basket: Great success in the first 'Franca Cassola Pasquali Day'

Autosped G BCC Derthona Basket is pleased to announce the resounding success of the Franca Cassola Pasquali Day initiative, held during the league match against the Italian champions Famila Wuber Schio on February 21, 2026, at the Cittadella dello Sport in Tortona. A heartfelt thank you goes to Famila Wuber Schio for sharing and participating in the initiative.

The event, aimed at raising funds for the Franca Cassola Pasquali Association, which has supported the activities of the breast care department at Tortona Hospital for years, was already sold out in the days leading up to the big challenge. Thanks to the generosity of participants, €5.165 was raised, from donations made directly to the arena during the event and from subsequent contributions from those who would have attended but were unable to attend due to the sold-out crowd.

BCC Derthona players Francesca Melchiori, Anastasia Conte, and Paula Suarez personally delivered the donation on behalf of the entire club to Helenio Pasquali, president of the Franca Cassola Pasquali Association.

During the match, in addition to the fundraiser, the Association's activities were presented, with the presence of volunteers and Dr. Francesco Millo, head of the Tortona breast care unit, accompanied by his team, and Dr. Francesco Marchitelli, general director of the Alessandria local health authority.

“Autosped BCC Derthona Basket is proud to have been able to contribute with this initiative to such an important cause – they say from the Castelnovese Club – and to have been able to consolidate with a concrete gesture the historic and deeply felt bond that has always tied it to the Franca Cassola Pasquali Association, whose logo we proudly wear on our racing uniforms.".

"Together we won another match, and it was beautiful. A huge and heartfelt thank you." was the final comment of the Franca Cassola Pasquali Association.
