Towards Alma Trieste – Bertram Derthona. Coach Lorenzo Pansa: “Talented and athletic team. We will have to be good at limiting their running ability."

Historic first time for Bertram Derthona, on the pitch tomorrow, Friday 2 March, at 13.15pm against Alma Trieste, in the Final Eight of the LNP Italian Cup scheduled from tomorrow to Sunday 4 March in Jesi: never before have the Bianconeri achieved this goal, coming close to it on two occasions with fifth place at the end of the first round.
The Lions are off to a fast start, with high morale thanks to the away victory against Novipiù Casale, leaders of the West group, and will face the team that until a few weeks ago was the first in the class of the East group, at an unprecedented time to allow to play all four quarter-finals tomorrow afternoon.

So coach Lorenzo Pansa: “Trieste is an extremely talented and athletic team. It boasts a deep roster assembled over time, just as their identity and solidity as a team has been built over time which is leading them to be at the top of the standings in their group. We will have to be good at limiting their running ability, trying to clearly resist their physicality and defensive intensity."

Numerous initiatives have been created to celebrate the debut at the Final Eight.
Derthona will wear a shirt in a new colour, the red of the city coat of arms, on which numerous ad hoc details have been developed in collaboration with the graphic designer from Tortona Diego Chiaudani and with the technical partner Bitre Sport to make the playing kit unique and exclusive. Beyond the color, the Derthona Basket writing and the lion on the shorts pay homage to the city of Tortona, while the tricolor border of the writing and the Final Eight logo link the uniform to the Italian Cup event.
The contribution of the fans is touching: a bus of accompanying fans is expected which, added to the numerous private cars, could lead to reaching a hundred Tortona supporters following the distant trip to Jesi.
