Study and score!

"Study and shoot” is the project aimed at young Piedmontese students and basketball players.
The FIP Piedmont Regional Committee rewards the best report cards of the sporting year, or rather of the 2014-15 school year. This is a competition reserved for members participating in the women's and men's championships in the Under 19, Under 17 and Under 15 categories, which offers 9 scholarships – 3
for each of the categories involved - worth 250 euros each.

To participate in the competition, simply send the Regional Committee a copy of the original certificate issued by the secondary school to which you belong, no later than July 31 2015:
a) by post: in a sealed envelope addressed to the Piedmont Regional Committee of the Italian Basketball Federation, via Giordano Bruno 191, 10134 – Turin, 'Study and make a basket!' competition,
or
b) by email: the scan of the entire documentation requested at the address info@piemonte.fip.it with the title 'Study and score!'.
To ensure that the documentation sent by post falls within the terms indicated, the postmark affixed to the envelope at the time of shipment will be considered as proof.
As regards sending via email, the deadline is midnight on 31 July 2015.

The report card to be sent will be the one at the end of the school year (not the evaluation in the case of final exams).
The Regional Board of Directors will act as a Judging Commission: it will proceed to check the qualifications received within the indicated deadlines and will draw up the final rankings on the basis of the best averages expressed in hundredths. In case of ex-aequo, the youngest students or students will be awarded.
The final rankings will be published on the Regional Committee website in the first days of September, at the same time as the notification to the holders of the winning report cards of the competition.

The award cannot be won by the same athlete for two categories in a row; it will therefore be possible to win the prize twice if there is a category in the middle that interrupts the continuity. This means, for example, that whoever wins in the Under 15 category will only be able to win the scholarship in the Under 19 category.

In the particular case in which those who won in the Under 17 category also arrive among the top 3 in the Under 19 category in subsequent years, a Special Prize will be awarded which will be added to the 3 already foreseen

For the purposes of determining the actual category of membership relating to the prize, if the athlete participates in more than one championship, the athlete's age will prevail.

It should be noted that students of both public and private schools located in the Piedmont region can participate in this initiative, and is reserved for athletes attending secondary schools who in the 2014/2015 sports season were registered on the scoresheet for at least a race in the U15, U17 and U19 categories.
