An engaging comeback, in a PalaFerraris in full playoff climate, allows Orsi Derthona to collect the sixth pearl of their season by overcoming Lighthouse Trapani 79-76. The Bianconeri recovered from -12 on which the first half of the match ended to close the score with Glenn Cosey's three-point basket which broke the tie in the last minute and put the two points definitively in the hands of the Lions.
A lot of suffering at the start for the Bianconeri, overwhelmed by the Lighthouse partial at the start of the second quarter (from 21-23 at 10' to 24-34 at 15') built on the baskets of Tommasini (4) and Tavernelli (8, with two baskets from three points). Trapani reached their maximum lead in the 19th minute, at 30-44, before Cosey set the score at 32-44 in the 20th minute.
The interval returns a leonine Derthona, perfectly at ease in a match that soon turns into a battle of nerves (one coach for each bench, plus one for Cosey) and inflames the large crowd at the PalaFerraris. Captain Garri and Reati drag Derthona, who returns to the game with an important 7/9 from three points, for the 61-64 Trapani at the third siren.
It's a completely different game, with Derthona overtaking (71-67 at 35') and trying to extend the lead, but is promptly thwarted by baskets from Scott (14 points and 11 rebounds) and Mays (13). This led to a draw in the final minute, in which a triple from Glenn Cosey guaranteed Derthona the decisive momentum with a triple from Carleton Scott. Scott himself sends the potential equalizer shot to the rim, then Greene IV and Cosey seal another great Juventus result with the free throws.

Thus Demis Cavina: “We managed to overturn the inertia of the match thanks to the defense in the second half, with a different approach that allowed us to recover balls and play our favorite basketball. The bad first half was born precisely from a wrong defensive approach and the entire maneuver was affected, since what we do in defense is the driving force of our attack. I will continue to preach humility to a team that, despite the good results, still has great room for improvement and must demonstrate its growth from match to match."
