Derthona Basket presents Andrea Iannilli!!!

Derthona Basket announces that it has reached an agreement for the continuation of the season with the athlete Andrea Iannilli.

The new center comes from Fortitudo, 207 cm, was born on 19 March 1984 in Rome and will play his first training session with his new teammates this afternoon and will be regularly on the pitch in the important match on Sunday in Agropoli which could give Tortona participation to the Final Eight.
First steps in the Stella Azzurra Roma, Andrea played in Trieste, Veroli, Imola, Sassari, Scafati, San Severo, Rome and Naples. In 2013/2014 he arrived in Piombino in Dnb where he faced his opponent Derthona Basket twice, playing a season at the highest level with 14.4 points and 10.6 rebounds on average. In 2014/2015 he was a key element in the promotion of Fortitudo Bologna with 9.2 points and 8.4 rebounds in the regular season which became 8.6 and 9.7 in the playoffs. In the current season he doesn't find the desired space with coach Boniciolli who gives him 14 minutes on average with 4 points and 4 rebounds and so here is the new adventure with the black and white shirt at the end of a real transfer market.

Luigino Fassino explains what the negotiations were like to bring the former Fortitudo player to Juventus: “Iannilli is the right player for our team, an athlete who puts his heart on the pitch and I'm sure he will fit in quickly. Perhaps we didn't understand each other with Ammnannato from the beginning, but as a company policy we don't hold anyone against their will and we wish him to continue his career with satisfaction".

This is Andrea Iannilli's first comment in the Derthona jersey: “I am extremely satisfied with having arrived in Tortona. The company is organised, professional and immediately surprised me a lot. I arrive on tiptoe to lend a hand to the team and I hope to fit in as quickly as possible. It was a quick negotiation, I knew Tortona from having played against them two years ago and I decided to wear the black and white jersey with great enthusiasm."
