Derthona Basket's run never stops and they also win the derby against Zimetal Alessandria with the final score of 77-64 thanks to an almost perfect match dominated from the first to the last minute of the game.
After a first period where Zimetal tries with all its strength, Derthona definitely changes gear and thanks to an unmarkable Giuliano Samoggia, it flies away in the score without ever looking back and practically closing the derby after the first two periods. All coach Arioli's boys bring their little brick to the "building of the house" despite the not exactly excellent physical conditions of some of the key elements such as Rotondo, Venuto and Viglianisi.
This Derthona was too much stronger for Zimetal who fought until the end, reducing the gap which, after three periods, had gone over twenty points. For the Alessandria players, it is worth mentioning the good performance of the former player Maurizio Pavone, acclaimed with fury by his former audience during the presentation and at the end of the match.
Thirteenth victory in the last fourteen matches, fifteen out of sixteen if we also count the Italian Cup, for this overflowing Derthona who remains firmly at the top of group A of the DNB with four points ahead of Fortitudo Bologna.
