Super Cup 2023: Costa Crociere and Derthona Basket announce an increasingly strong partnership
On the occasion of Italian Basketball Super Cup 2023, scheduled today and tomorrow, in Brescia, Costa Cruises e Derthona Basketball, the basketball team of the city of Tortona, present a new and innovative partnership.
After the first collaboration in the 2022/23 championship, the two companies have in fact decided to strengthen and expand their union, with the entry of Costa Crociere as Platinum Sponsors. The cruise company flying the Italian flag will be alongside Derthona Basket for the next two years, until June 2025.

In particular, the idea of being an active and proactive part of the communities where we are present, to spread the values of inclusiveness and attention to the new generations that characterize Derthona Basket's way of doing sport and Costa's way of doing tourism".

The iconic "C" of the Costa logo, which has stood out on the company's ships for 75 years, will be present on the uniforms of the first men's team of the "Leoni" of Tortona in all the competitions in which it will be involved, but also of the first women's team and of youth teams. The agreement also includes customizations and activities dedicated to Costa, which will involve the public, at the "Cittadella" in Tortona and the PalaEnergica in Casale Monferrato, the "homes" of Derthona Basket.
Not only. Costa Crociere and Derthona Basket will team up on a series of projects aimed at the territory, in particular the Ligurian and Piedmont ones, with the aim of focusing on sport as a promoter of the values of inclusion and sustainability, involving the youngest. First of all, Costa will give his support to some Derthona Basket projects already active in the social field. Between these “We plant the future”, a moment of meeting between the students of the local institutes and the players and staff of the "Lions", aimed at the development of training activities linked to the themes of the 2030 Agenda. But also 'Lions Together', designed to promote the various initiatives carried out by the team's partners. Furthermore, the two companies will work to collaborate together on some events dedicated to Genoa and Liguria, which are still being defined.
The Super Cup is the first official match of the season for Derthona Basket, which faces Germani Brescia today, Saturday 23 September, at the PalaLeonessa A2A in Brescia, in the second semi-final of the day. The match is scheduled for 20.45pm and Costa Crociere is ready to cheer along with all basketball fans.
