Bertram closes the season in Cremona. Coach De Raffaele's words
The 47/2024 season of Bertram Derthona Tortona, the fourth in history in the top Italian championship, will end tomorrow with the 25th official match between the championship, Champions League and Coppa Italia. The black and white team will be playing at 18:15 at the PalaRadi in Cremona against the home team Vanoli in the 30th and final matchday of the Serie A Unipol. A match with no importance in the standings for both teams, Derthona has been certain since the last round that it will not be able to improve on its ninth place with 28 points and a related failure to access the playoffs, just as always last Sunday the Lombardy team coached by Pierluigi Brotto, in thirteenth place with 18 points together with Napoli, have mathematically achieved salvation with the current +6 over the now relegated Scafati and Pistoia, beaten 89-65 in the direct clash of the penultimate matchday in Tuscany. For the black and white Davide Denegri it will be the first return to Cremona as an opponent of Vanoli after the summer move to Bertram.
WHERE TO WATCH IT ON TV The race will be streamed live on DAZN.
STATEMENTS: " Naturally, we've also prepared for this match with the professionalism we've shown throughout the season, so we'll approach this final match, which we know will have no bearing on the standings for either team—by the way, sincere congratulations to Cremona for staying up—with the desire, as always, to bring home the victory: to do so, everyone will need to contribute, no one excluded ," says coach Walter De Raffaele . "We'll obviously make a final assessment of the season in the appropriate forums with the club, but there's a bittersweet taste between the great run in the Champions League, where we brought Tortona's name to the European stage with respect from all and achieved the historic result of reaching the quarterfinals, and the disappointment of having missed the Serie A playoffs by 1-2 wins, in a particular championship where, compared to the past, there has been an exceptionally balanced performance, also considering the repeated injuries that have affected us throughout the season."
