An engaging comeback in the second half of the match allowed Derthona to achieve their fourth consecutive success, beating Agropoli 72-66 and maintaining third place in the standings. It's a 42-30 second half that tips the scales towards the Bianconeri, after a first half that saw inertia in the hands of the visiting team. Quicker to the ball, Bcc was able to use all their desire to react to the current negative moment, hitting three times from distance, twice with Langford and once with Carenza, for the 2-11 in the 5th minute. Derthona responds with Cosey's triple which makes it 9-16 in the 9th minute, but the visiting team is on the ball and closes the first quarter at 9-18. The second quarter follows the same lines as the first, with Orsi chipping away at a few points of the away team's lead without however managing to close the initial hole (30-36 at 20').
Derthona changes pace coming out of the break: the defense raises the volume, while a triple from Cosey and a basket from Garri lead to the overtaking in the 22nd minute (37-36). Agropoli responds present, but two baskets from Sanna and another five points from Cosey complete the partial of 25-15 which allows the Lions to round the 30th minute mark at 55-51.
Derthona persists in the fourth period, retouching their lead several times with Mascherpa (58-52 at 32') and Cucci (65-58 at 36'), but Agropoli stays in its wake and never lets the Bianconeri escape; indeed, on Turel's baskets, Bcc gets back to 70-66 which keeps the contest open until the last turn of the clock, a prelude to the celebration that opens at the 40th minute siren.

Thus coach Demis Cavina at the end of the match: “This match teaches us what balance is in this championship. We managed to turn the match around starting from defensive intensity; we adapted to Agropoli's perimeter, while in attack we managed to play cleaner actions, after a first half in which we lost too many balls.
I am very happy with this victory because, against Reggio Calabria in the first round, we were unable to reverse the momentum and we lost. Today's victory therefore highlights a growth factor. We can still improve a lot.”
