The Bertram Derthona towards the NPC Rieti. Coach Lorenzo Pansa: “We will find a match of great physical and mental toughness”

Long day for Bertram Derthona, who after morning training at the PalaCamagna set off towards Rieti where tomorrow, Sunday 12 November, at 18.00 pm, he will be on stage at the PalaSojourner against former Alberto Conti's Npc.

Coach Lorenzo Pansa took stock in view of his boys' seventh match of the season: “The trip to Rieti is treacherous both for the quality of the roster we will meet and for the environmental conditions we will face. In fact, this is the first home match that they will face with the new coach, at the end of a week in which their desire to break the deadlock after the four consecutive defeats suffered in the recent past has emerged. We are aware that, first of all, we will find a team that will play a match of great mental and technical toughness."

The Juventus coach goes into detail outlining the profile of the Sabines: "It is a formation of great experience and quality, which can alternate quintets of more or less important physical size and which, if it turns on, can be very dangerous from the arc of the three points, as evidenced by the first place in the ranking of shots attempted from beyond the three-point arc. In the control room is Tommasini, a playmaker capable of creating for his teammates but also for himself, while Hearst, fresh from being the top scorer in the second Spanish league, is their main offensive terminal with an average of over 21 points and 9.6 fouls conceded per game. Hassan is a dangerous three-point shooter, while under the basket Davenport is a great athlete capable of moving both as a power forward and as an atypical center and who, at home, has shown that he can produce very important figures.

Angelo Gigli is a totem for whom I don't think any introduction is needed, while from the bench they can count on the freshness of Savoldelli, on the great experience of Casini and Carenza, who guarantee further danger in the three-point shot, and on the former Alberto Conti."
Coach Pansa concludes by addressing a thought to his players: "We will have to be ready for the toughness of the match and be good at finding the right emotional impact on the match from the start, to bring the contest to the pace of play that we are happy with and continue accordingly in the progress we showed last Saturday against Napoli.”

Francesco Stefanelli, guard of Bertram Derthona, is on the same wavelength: “A tough match awaits us, to be played on a very hot pitch and where the fans make the environment very stimulating for all the protagonists on the pitch. Rieti has recently changed coach, it will be the first home match with the new technical guide and also for this reason our opponents will try to win at all costs. We will have to be ready because we want to win two points which can send a good signal and give us the right push for the rest of the season."
