New face in the Derthona house: signed Cameron Hunt
Bertram Derthona is strengthened in view of the decisive phase of the season, the playoffs: the club announces that it has reached an agreement with the play-guard Cameron Hunt, who played in Wurzburg in recent seasons.
CAREER – Born in Duncanville (Texas), on August 25, 1997, Hunt attended Duncanville High School, before transferring to Southwestern College KS. In his four-year university years he showed off as a great scorer: in his second year he produced 24.5 points per game, in his third year 23.3 and in his last year at College 31.5 per outing, with excellent shooting percentages (over 50% from the field and almost 40% from beyond the arch).
After completing his experience at Southwestern College KS, Cameron moved to Germany, to Wurzburg, the team where he spent his entire career in Europe. In 2019/20 he plays in the team that plays in the Pro B championship, while in the last three years he has taken the field with the team that plays in the BBL.
His performance over the four years has always grown both in terms of playing time and offensive production: in 2022/23 he produced 17 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists on average in 34 minutes of use in the BBL. In all the years spent in Germany, Cameron has confirmed himself as an excellent three-point shooter (40% average on almost 4 attempts per game). Now he moves to Bertram Derthona to start a new chapter in his career.
