DerthonaBasket.itThe Bianconeri return defeated 92 to 71 from the longest away match of the championship in Reggio Calabria. Viola started in fourth place and left no room for our team, closing the first set with a gap of 9 points at 27-18. Even in the second half the story does not change with the hosts reaching +19 in the middle of the quarter due to the celebration of the 2700 of PalaCalafiore.

In the last minutes before the break, however, Derthona seems to react and thanks to the good spirit of Tavernari and a bomb from Venuto they go into the locker room down by only 6 points at 48-42 in favor of Reggio. Derthona's counterattack continued when the game restarted, when after three minutes of play with Rotondo from underneath and Simoncelli from three points, the score was within 1 at 48-47. The locals, however, resist and chase away Tortona's hopes thanks not only to Rush (the best of the match), but also to points from Rezzano and Lupusor: the third quarter therefore ends with Viola ahead 66-53.

In the last fraction Reggio Calabruia manages the advantage always with Rush on the shields and with important baskets from Spissu and Casini which definitively repel Derthona's long-range attempts from Galloway and Losi. The final shows the home team's maximum advantage at 92-71, with Viola returning to victory after three consecutive defeats, tying Derthona in the standings at 24, who now have the burden of promptly redeeming themselves next Sunday at Palaoltrepo with Latin.
The Lazio team, who surprisingly beat Treviso, will arrive in Voghera fresh from three victories in a row.
