Towards Eurobasket Roma-Bertram Derthona: the words of coach Ramondino and Gražulis
Championship eve for Bertram Derthona, waiting for the match at the Eurobasket Roma, recovery of the first day (initially scheduled for Saturday 5 October 2019) postponed due to the participation of Bruno Mascolo in the FIBA 3X3 U23 World Cup played in Lanzhou (China). The match will be played tomorrow, Tuesday 22 October 2019, at 20.30 pm at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Cisterna di Latina, the pitch chosen by the Lazio team for the home matches of the 2019/20 season.
The Lions are coming off a defeat on the field in Rieti, a game that highlighted how "consistency is an important value for every team and the aspect we must improve on most right now in every play of the game. As players and staff ," says coach Marco Ramondino, " we will have to quickly take stock of the situation and identify areas for growth, trying to be more demanding with ourselves to become better . "
The Juventus coach then focused on analyzing Bertram's upcoming opponents, maintaining that "Eurobasket is a team with a starting five made up of quality and experienced players: the two Americans are talented and are supported by excellent shooters such as Loschi, Fattori, and Viglianisi. Young players emerge from the bench who bring energy and an important contribution to the team . "
One of Derthona's best players in the loss against Zeus Energy Group was Andrejs Gražulis, who – looking ahead to tomorrow's game – believes that "the match against Rieti taught us that we need to raise our physicality level from the first plays of the game, because no match is a given in this championship. This is something I've noticed in the first two months I've spent in Italy, and I must say it only increases the interest in the tournament. Our focus now is on Eurobasket Roma, a very tough opponent that brings a lot of energy to the table . "
