Towards Bertram Derthona-Virtus Segafredo Bologna: the words of coach Ramondino
Championship eve for Bertram Derthona, engaged in the fascinating and prestigious challenge to Virtus Segafredo Bologna. The race is scheduled for 20pm tomorrow, Saturday 7 January, at the PalaEnergica Paolo Ferraris.
Presenting the characteristics of the opponents was coach Marco Ramondino: “Last year, Virtus won the regular season and the EuroCup and reached the Scudetto final. This year they have equipped themselves for their return to the EuroLeague: it is a team that has many solutions and nine foreigners, so depending on the various needs and commitments it can choose which players are functional. For this reason, it is not easy to imagine the match that will be played, as being a team made up of great champions, Virtus' way of playing and solutions depend on the interpreters on the pitch.".
“We are trying to set up the week by trying to find the general ideas for the match – continues the Juventus head coach -. We have to play a different match in terms of physicality and initiative compared to the last match at home against Treviso. It will be necessary not to let Virtus play naturally because otherwise, due to their talent and quantity of solutions, they would be impossible to limit.
