Orsi Derthona wins the final of the “Giusti Wine” tournament, the final event of the Cortina Basket Week, coming from behind to beat the “hosts” of Universo Treviso Basket 66-69 and tomorrow at 18.15pm they will meet Segafredo Virtus Bologna, who were also winners 78-68 over Tezenis Verona, in the final for 1st place. Previously, at 16.00 pm, Universo Treviso Basket and Tezenis Verona will cross arms in a Venetian derby that will give away the third step of the podium.

In the evocative setting of the Olympic Ice Stadium, the Lions gave proof of their character by overcoming the break made in the second half of the match with a series of three consecutive long-range baskets from De' Longhi between 15' and 20', for the 33-25 at the break.
The Juventus comeback took shape in the third quarter, animated by a vehement team defense, the determination of Cucci and the baskets of Greene IV (47-45 Treviso in the 30th minute). The first overtaking came at the start of the last quarter, with a triple from Cucci (47-48), immediately countered by Rinaldi and Saccaggi (51-48). Ricci's exit due to fouls does not slow down the Juventus progress, paving the way for the strike that decides the fate of the match: Cosey's first basket of the match (54-54) opens the partial score of 0-12 (Cucci, triple Cosey, counterattack by Reati and triple by Greene IV) which brings Derthona to 54-64. Jesse Perry tries everything, Saccaggi brings Treviso within one possession, but in the final the hand of Cosey and Greene does not tremble from the line, giving Orsi Derthona a deserved qualification to the final.
