THEAllianz Derthona wins the long-awaited summit clash against the Don Bosco Crocetta, placing themselves first in the league table with 12 points, with six wins in as many matches, in the championship Under 19 Excellence.
Good start to the game for Derthona who manages to control the attacks of the visiting team at first impact, thanks also to the superiority under the boards of Cissè and Korlatovic (10 out of 16 rebounds of the quarter are theirs) and ending the first period in the lead. The next ten minutes of the game are to forget for the black and white team, Crocetta, dragged by the baskets of Cellino, returns to the field with a different attitude, especially in the defensive phase, managing to suffer only 5 points in the period.
Upon returning to the court, with the score at 26-32, coach Ansaloni's boys have an excellent reaction. Thanks to the 16 combined points of Tommaso Diodati, returning after his injury, and Cherif Cissè, the Leoni manage to impose their game again. The counter-parity in the period won by Derthona by 22-9 has a positive impact on the overall result, managing to regain the lead at +7. The last period is an exciting head-to-head, with breaks and counter-breaks, but very close to the end of the game, with 15” to go, the 2/2 free throws by Farias on 59-57 gives the definitive joy to Allianz.
Great performance by Cissè, the best scorer of his team and author of a double double of 17 points (8/11 from the field) and 11 rebounds. Another fundamental performance by Bruno Farias with 12 points, 5/6 free throws and 5 assists. Together they gave a big hand in the offensive phase of Derthona.
