Success for Bertram Derthona in the fifth edition of the Ghisolfi Trophy: opposed to Goyang Orions, Derthona - after a balanced first half - extended their margin in the second half thanks to great defensive intensity. Kenny Gaines won the game's MVP award. Coach Ramondino chooses Mascolo, Gaines, Martini, Pullazi and Gražulis to start the 'V Guido Ghisolfi Trophy': in the first half of the game the two teams alternate overtaking and counter-overtaking and in the 10th minute the guests lead 18-21. In the second half, the Bianconeri widened their rotations, finding good responses from all the players: the defensive growth of the home team allowed them to recover several balls and transform them into points on the counterattack which earned them the advantage in the match (32-28 at 17'). In the last minutes of the first half, Howard's plays brought Goyang back ahead, who led with a score of 20-33 in the 37th minute. In the third quarter the balance on the pitch remains between the two teams, before Bertram produces a partial that gives them the overtaking (47-44 at 27'). The favorable moment for the home team continues in the following minutes: in the 30th minute the scoreboard reads 52-44. At the start of the final period the Bianconeri took a double-digit lead, fending off their opponents' comeback attempts thanks to great defensive attention and collective offensive solutions, expanding their margin to 73-54 at the siren.
