Bertram Derthona returns to success, leading the entire first half against Givova Scafati before suffering a comeback and overtaking by the opponent in the third quarter. In the last half the Lions impacted the match and forced overtime, which was conducted from the first seconds. The first minutes of the match were characterized by the great balance on the pitch between two teams that found good offensive solutions and had Gaines and Frazier as their main players. The half ends in perfect parity, at 21. At the start of the second half, Bertram tries to impose her own pace on the match, but Givova responds blow for blow: the basket from a wild Frazier is worth 25 equal to the 14th minute and forces coach Ramondino to stop the game. The Lions are still leading the match, thanks to a great Gaines who made some excellent plays in the attacking half of the pitch: in the 18th minute the score was 36-31 for the home team. At the end of the first half, the American player once again created for himself and his teammates, allowing Bertram to extend their margin to 41-33 at the break. Upon returning from the locker rooms, after the +11 achieved by the team coached by Ramondino, Scafati's reaction arrives, capable of finding both two and three point baskets: then two consecutive baskets from Stephens give the guests the equalizer (46- 46 at 25'), crowning a run of 2-13. Givova continues its favorable moment, fueling its break with another 0-7 interrupted by Gražulis' triple. The half ends with the guests ahead 49-56. Bertram raises the intensity of its defense and finds the new tie at 56 (at 33') with a triple from Gaines and then, thanks to another three-point basket, this time from Formenti, the lead (61-60 at 34') forcing coach Perdichizzi to stop the match. The following minutes flow on the edge of balance, with the two teams responding blow for blow to their opponents' initiatives: the Bianconeri take the lead again thanks to Martini's basket, and 31 seconds from the siren the score is 69-67. Tommasini scores the equalizer with 8 seconds left, Tavernelli's winning shot doesn't go in: it's overtime. The overtime is unlocked by De Laurentiis' basket; Tavernelli's clarity in the following possessions widened the home team's margin to +7 (77-70) in the 44th minute. Scafati, in the following actions, never comes closer and Bertram achieves the success 81-71.
