An eye on the future: first meeting between Okeke and the company
An important moment for the present and future of Leonardo Okeke, who today signed a five-year contract with Derthona Basket. Together with his father, he met with the company and his agent Vittorio Gallinari to plan the next steps in his career. The meeting took place at the Gavio Group headquarters.
Vittorio Gallinari, the player's agent, spoke first: ʺI want to thank Leonardo's family for the trust they have placed in our Players Gruop agency and Derthona Basket for the determination and interest shown in the boy, a prospect followed by many high-level teams, not only Italian ones. The choice to stay and play in a club that is close to his home allows us to continuously and consistently monitor his growthʺ.

Coach Marco Ramondino concluded the match: ʺWe are happy to have a boy like Leonardo with us. I think it's important that he knows that this must be a starting point and not a finishing point for his career. We shared the opportunity for him to play next season in Casale, so that we can follow him consistently and have daily or weekly feedback from the JB technical staff. Leonardo must have a clear understanding of the type of player he is and what he wants and can become for the rest of his careerʺ.
