U17 Excellence today at PalaCamagna for a new test. The report of the Summer JIT in Lissone
Another friendly match for a Derthona Basketball Lab team . Today at 16:30 pm on the home court of the PalaCamagna , the Under 17 Eccellenza team will take to the court against Don Bosco Crocetta Torino.
The boys coached by Enrico Rocco will face another test a week after their seasonal debut, which coincided with their participation in the Summer JIT in Lissone (MB). It was the first outing of the 2022/23 season for both the Bertram Yachts Derthona U17 and U15 Eccellenza teams , both finishing in fifth place in a competition that saw major youth basketball teams from across Northern Italy compete on the courts of the Brianza town. The black and white teams performed well on the court, despite still being in their preparation phase and therefore still feeling tired from the hard work put in under the guidance of physical trainer Marco Paccioni.
After a loss to Varese Basketball , Rocco's U17 team (pictured during a timeout in Lissone) got off to a good start on the second day with a thrilling win against Pallacanestro Desio and also defeating Urania Milano on finals day . The team, with some key new additions that we'll introduce to you during the preseason, immediately hit the ground running with strong chemistry and unity, demonstrating that they can also perform well in the 2022/23 U17 Eccellenza championship.
Coach Federico Tosarelli's U15 team , also featuring several new arrivals, struggled a bit more to get going and only secured a spot on the final day against Busto Arsizio . In the two previous days against Olimpia Milano and Pall. Lodi , with their ups and downs, the young lions nevertheless fought for every ball with great tenacity, trying to implement the dictates of the new Juventus coach.
Luca Ansaloni's U19 Eccellenza team , coached by Tosarelli, also made their debut in recent days, against their peers from Progetto Giovani Cantù and the Serie C Silver team from Scuola Basket Asti . Both convincing victories boosted the team's morale, giving them even more motivation to work in the gym every day to be ready for their official debuts in the top regional senior Serie C Gold championship and the U19 Eccellenza championship, which this season will once again feature teams from not only Piedmont and Liguria but also some Lombardy.
