Leonardo De Santis 's 30-pointer wasn't enough against College Basketball Borgomanero , as the U15 Eccellenza team ultimately defeated the visitors at the PalaCamagna in the 15th round of the Liguria-Piedmont Group A. After spending most of the game chasing double-digit deficits, Allianz came back with a series of 3-pointers between the final two periods, with De Santis (shooting in the archive photo), Gilli, Quaini, and Pisano Bafano all scoring. The latter also scored the first Juventus lead from beyond the arc with 6' left at 66-63, but a 0-7 counter-break and baskets from Castelluccio put the victory back in Borgomanero's hands.
For Derthona, ninth defeat in 13 matches, while Borgomanero strengthens its fourth position to enter the second Top phase.
Federico Tosarelli's boys face off at home on Sunday at 11 a.m. against TNA San Mauro al Camagna in the third-to-last round of the first phase.
