With heart and determination, Derthona erases Treviglio's stop and drops Legnano's field factor for the first time in the season. Ahead from start to finish, the Lions were able to resist the vehement attacks of the current second force in the championship in a second half of the match that was more physical and fragmented than the first twenty minutes. Behind Derthona's ninth success of the season there is the strength of a group that was able to form a common front, with a performance of great specific weight in front of an opponent who, although without Frassineti and Martini, still put the players in difficulty. Lions.

At the start of the match it was the Juventus collective that put Derthona ahead: careful team defense and control of the rebounds (8-13 at 10') allowed the Lions to round the mark of the first quarter at 12-17, doubled shortly after thanks to baskets by Cosey and Garri (19-29 at 15').
Derthona closes the first half of the match at 29-39 on Alviti's basket at the buzzer.
The third quarter offers a more aggressive TWS: Ihedioha closes to 43-48 at 25', Greene and Ricci keep Derthona ahead (43-56 at 28'), but the hosts with two three-point baskets from Battilana and Ihedioha they remain in contact (54-58 at 30').
Palermo and Cosey exchange two triples at the start of the final period, then Greene again, one on one and then from six meters, restores momentum and inertia (59-71 at 34') to a Derthona who is more combative than ever on both sides of the field. Raivio and Mosley bring Legnano closer again, but Greene's first triple of the match is the one that makes it 68-76 which, two turns before the siren, keeps the Bianconeri definitively ahead.

Demis Cavina: “I am very proud of my boys' performance, because this success was achieved on a pitch never conquered this year. All the players used showed great determination, executing the game plan in the best possible way also from a defensive point of view. I am happy with this positive start to the second half of the season, I hope that from this success our boys can gain the confidence with which they deserve to face the rest of the season."
