Two young European Lions: Bellinaso and Di Meo called up by Italy for the U16 European Championships in Greece. Debut tonight
Two elevations will represent the Derthona Basketball to European Under 16 that take place today ad Heraklion in Greece. Double call-up among coach Alberto Buffo's Italian squad for Werther Bellinaso, started from minibasketball with Derthona playing in all categories up to the current U19 Eccellenza with the Juventus club, and Edoardo Di Meo, new arrival in the home of the Lions. In the continental tournament the Tortona youth sector could even have achieved a hat-trick with the presence of Andrea Bresciani, last cut after a month of retreat, which will certainly have the opportunity to make up for it during the new season now upon us.
Italy's debut in Group D is scheduled for today, 9 August, against Croatia at 20pm Italian time. The second and third matches of the group will be respectively on Saturday 10th against Israel at 17pm and on Sunday 30th against the Greek hosts, also at 11pm.
