Training project promoted by Derthona Basket: bullying, lifestyles and respect for the rules
The press conference of the training project promoted by Derthona Basket with the contribution of the ODPF Santachiara Institute, sponsored by the Municipality of Tortona and aimed at athletes, took place this morning, Tuesday 28 January, in the setting of the Sala Romita of the Municipality of Tortona. of the youth sector of the Club and to the students of all the institutes in the city.
The conference was opened by Federico Chiodi, Mayor of Tortona and host on this occasion, who wanted to thank ʺjournalists, managers and representatives of the city's schools. I really liked the project ever since Ferencz Bartocci talked to me about it, as I believe that sport - team sport in particular - can be useful for the education, training and character of children. I am happy that Derthona Basket has decided to involve the city's schools on such an important issue; it is a unique opportunity and a project that will have moments of dissemination and meetings that the Municipality has decided to support and support. Bullying and cyberbullying are plagues that also afflict our community, so the Administration will provide the maximum possible support..

Bullying is a topic that concerns us very closely and this initiative allows us to understand the problem, also taking advantage of the media coverage that such an important club like Derthona Basket has. I like to see how society and schools invest time, strength and resources to carry out this project, which will begin on Friday 7 February in Piazza Duomo for the flashmob on the occasion of the National Day against Bullying and Cyberbullyingʺ.
After Councilor Damiani, Cristina Montagnoli, Director of the ODPF Santachiara Institute of Tortona, spoke on behalf of the city institutes, explaining how ʺthe initiative was born during a chat I had with Ferencz Bartocci in December. Together we shared the idea of proposing an important media event resulting in "A dribble against bullying", a flashmob that will take place in Piazza Duomo on Friday 7 February. I want to thank Guido Rosso (del Marconi/Carbone), Maria Rita Marchesotti (Peano), Laura Montecucco (Ciofs), Clara Miglior (Tortona A), Stefania Continillo (Tortona B) and Enrica Granaglia (San Giuseppe), Headmasters of the schools of Tortona who will provide an important logistical commitment for the realization of the project.
After Cristina Montagnoli, it was Ferencz Bartocci's turn, who illustrated the three different phases into which the project is divided. At the beginning, the General Manager of Bertram Yachts Derthona wanted to thank ʺthe Municipal Administration and the Mayor, with whom we began collaborating since last Mayʺ, and then continues by illustrating the Club's desire to increasingly involve the territory in initiatives since ʺthe union of the various components is strength: our intent is to help and accompany the schools in all possible projects, as well as carrying out promotional activities for Tortona from many points of view, developing a strong bond with the cityʺ.
Bartocci then described the three initiatives designed in collaboration with the city's schools, a project It was already designed for the kids in our youth sector and has been extended to the students of Tortona who host our kids in their courses. On February 7, in addition to the flashmob in Piazza Duomo, there will be two separate meetings for children and parents on cyberbullying with Mario Leone Piccinni, cyberbullying expert and author of numerous books. The flashmob also embraces a project launched by the Education Authority and will be divided into a short moment dedicated to the contents proposed by the various schools and a surprise moment. The second meeting - on the correct lifestyle - will be dedicated to parents, on March 13th, in which our club doctor, Doctor Pia Camagna, will also intervene. The third appointment is still being defined for April 23rd, it concerns the rules of the game and will see speeches by a referee from Serie A football, and a colleague, also from Serie A basketball, who will address the importance of respecting the rules. At the end of these meetings we will publish the documents in order to offer everyone the opportunity to consult them in the future.
